Services & Sessions
The way I work with horses has evolved far beyond a traditional list of services.
Every horse has different needs, goals, and challenges. Rather than offering one-size-fits-all appointments, my services are designed to provide the right level of support at each stage of your horse's journey.
The Foundation Session serves as the starting point for every new client, with additional performance plans, educational resources, and ongoing support options currently in development.
Whether you're investigating a concern or simply establishing a baseline, the first step is understanding where your horse is today.
The Foundation Session establishes a comprehensive baseline by looking beyond a single symptom or discipline. Movement, comfort, equipment, and performance are evaluated together, allowing patterns, relationships, and priorities to emerge that may be overlooked when each piece is considered independently
The outcome isn't a predetermined solution—it's a clearer understanding of your horse. Sometimes that leads to simple adjustments in management or equipment. Sometimes it supports collaboration with your veterinarian or another professional. The goal is always the same: helping you make informed decisions with confidence.
What to Expect
Every Foundation Session is intentionally unhurried because understanding a horse cannot be rushed. Each appointment allows time to gather information through observation, movement, hands-on bodywork, tack evaluation, and discussion, bringing those pieces together into thoughtful, individualized recommendations that reflect the horse as a whole.
Your Appointment Includes
A detailed discussion of your horse's history, goals, and concerns
A review of your horse’s diet and nutrition
Comprehensive movement and functional assessment, both in-hand and under saddle (when appropriate)
Evaluation of saddle fit and equipment, including on-site adjustments when appropriate.
Individualized hands-on bodywork using multiple modalities to gain a deeper understanding of how your horse has been using their body.
A review of observations, priorities, and personalized recommendations
Guidance for next steps, including collaboration with other professionals when appropriate

Absolutely not. Foundation Sessions do not diagnose medical conditions, prescribe treatment, or replace veterinary care. Horses experiencing lameness, illness, or other medical concerns should first be evaluated by a licensed veterinarian.

No. Movement assessments are not veterinary lameness examinations. My focus is understanding function, observing how the horse moves, comfort, and non-medical contributors to performance concerns.
-
I frequently work alongside veterinarians, trainers, and other professionals when a horse is experiencing performance concerns despite the absence of an identifiable medical condition. In fact most of my referrals are from veterinarians.
-
The Foundation Session is now the primary stand-alone appointment for new clients because it allows me to evaluate the horse as a whole and provide more individualized recommendations.
Established clients and certain situations may still be accommodated on a case-by-case basis.
